I found out about the feature today and accepted about 10 answers giving to about 25 questions of mine. It seems however my accepted percentage is still only 8%?

It'll probably be alright tomorrow. From How does accepting an answer work on Meta Stack Overflow:

  • The accept rate is heavily cached and can take 24 hours or more to update.

There are also a number of things that do not count towards the accept rate calculation.

Which questions do not affect the accept rate?

  • Community Wiki questions
  • Closed questions
  • Questions with no answers

It has not been updated still? It seems to take really long. – ujjain Jun 13 '11 at 15:42
If you hover over the accept rate, it tells you that the system things you've accepted 1 out of 13 answers, even though I can see you have accepted more. I reckon the cache hasn't been re-evaluated yet and "heavily cached" really does mean heavily cached! To be fair, it did say "can take up to 24 hours or more". – Ben Pilbrow Jun 13 '11 at 19:07
