Since we had a community effort to wear Santa Hats, I don't feel too bad about posting this. I think several (most? almost all?) of us agree on the pending SOPA / PIPA legislation.

Today is SOPA Blackout day, and I changed my gravatar last night (and might keep it that way for a while longer than 24 hours...).

Will you?

Provide some banners/example images, and I'll get right on that. – TylerShads Jan 18 at 15:59
You can do a search for "stop sopa avatars" and there's plenty of goodies – Holocryptic Jan 18 at 16:01

Wouldn't it be funny if Gravatar blacked out :) – TylerShads Jan 18 at 16:04
@TylerShads - no, it wouldn't – Mark Henderson Jan 18 at 19:28
Christmas is one thing. Local politics is something else altogether. – John Gardeniers Jan 18 at 23:27

As a newbie I considered posting a "question" regarding this until I figured out the right part of the site to go.

For those not familiar with xkcd I thought I would post this:

SOPA

(If you edit the colours it ends up looking a bit more like this):

Don't screw with DNS

Edit: I tried to embed the pictures via bbcode or whatever this forum uses but it turned out to be way too past beer o clock :(

Edit (after even more beer): Apparently over 75k websites participated: http://sopastrike.com/on-strike/

Server Fault IS NOT A FORUM! It's not bbcode. Stack Exchange are Q&A sites and use a broken version of markdown. – Chris S Jan 19 at 3:31
@ChrisS +1 for emphasizing brokenness. – WesleyDavid Jan 19 at 4:27
