Punish them for that? This site is for questions and answers, if the question is interesting, and you believe you can give a good answer, please do go ahead. If the asker is ungrateful, its their own loss.

Like this one for php (21.8% unanswered) and linux (11.6% unanswered). For comparison, right now our site-wide unanswered rate is 17%. Of the high traffic sites, we're actually doing pretty good.

Mar 27, 2013 at 0:59 | comment | added | Chris S Mod | I'm rather miffed about the percentage thing being removed. I was one of those people who refused to answer when the OP had an exceptionally low percent.
Mar 26, 2013 at 23:54 | comment | added | voretaq7 Mod | @AndrzejA.Filip the "unanswered" logic should consider questions with upvoted answers as answered questions (the same way the unanswered link does) -- If it doesn't I would consider that to be a bug (i.e. "Check for a post about it on mSO and if none exists, raise the issue")
Mar 26, 2013 at 22:23 | comment | added | AnFi onet.eu | I have been looking at the issue from the perspective of published tags' unanswered percentages.
