I like this...

Many times, I'll go down the path of helping a poster with a problem, and find that they're not in control of the system they're working on, or worse, trying to bypass the people who are responsible for the environment.

But beyond that, there are far too many items that fall under hardware or software vendor support. Should we see questions about how to replace a hot-swap diskhow to replace a hot-swap disk? Or what this error lightthis error light on the front of the server chassis means? Probably not...
