I tend to think for option 2.

Esa will looselose the green mark, but over time his answer will reach a better concensus, but theconsensus. The only problem I see is the accepted answer get almost 200 upvotes, as such Esa's answer will get low visibility at first in that question. I suggest after the move a edit to the accepted's answer, to add a footnote, to be sure to see Esa's answer for newer security's mesuremeasure.
