Left nav will stay on by default, but as you mention can be hidden by user pref (this is a global pref that works across all sites). 2. The width of the content area is not directly impacted by the addition of the left nav. By default the main content area is the same width and, if you collapse the left nav, then the width of the main content area will be unchanged at similar viewports. We have some other changes we are considering which could improve this further. We really are trying to keep the focus on the main content area. | |
