Once upon a time in SF land, [there are mass-killing and burnination ritual][1] of [tag:vmware] tag. This mass-killing initiated at [Mar 10, 2011][1] and [lasted until July 6, 2011][2]. And the last-killing blow [is done by Jeff Atwood itself][3].

In the present, looks like the [tag:vmware] still haunted us. You can see it yourself by

* Visit [<s>the graveyard</s> old question tagged with vmware-*](http://serverfault.com/questions/tagged/vmware-*?page=79&sort=active&pagesize=50).

* Click one of them to bring up the question page, for example: [How do I get the Activation Key in Windows 2003 Server][4]. You can see there are no [tag:vmware] tag in the question.

    > ![enter image description here][5]
* Right click **edit button** and select *Open in new tab*.

* Out of nowhere, the [tag:vmware] shows up in tag list, replaced [tag:vmware-server] tag. **The ghost has been revealed himself to us...**

    > ![enter image description here][6]

This happened when you edit other questions as well, for example

* http://serverfault.com/questions/2640/minimize-vmware-hd-space-with-multiple-snapshots
* http://serverfault.com/questions/112014/where-does-esxi-decompress-files-to-during-install

* http://serverfault.com/questions/222557/vmware-lab-manager-whats-the-difference-between-capture-to-library-and-archive

So what can we do to kill this ghost once and for all?
