I find coaching and mentoring to be an important part of being an IT professional. As Robert Heinlein said, "When one teaches, two learn."
If elected as a moderator, how will you help to coach and mentor others to be better members of Server Fault and to develop the skills necessary to one day become moderators themselves? If you don't plan on mentoring and just want to spend the year executing administrative tasks, that's fine too. Just say so.
