@JamesHaigh: Note that SO and ServerFault both have Google sponsored tags, specifically for what most developers would call "support queries". If your point is that framing a Question to be more generally applicable improves it, then I agree with that up to the point that the Question remains specific enough to be answerable. Striking this balance is difficult in the initial iterations of a problem.
