You mean "exclude"?

I think that some of the answers have pointed out that ServerFault is not for professional sysadmins. It's more that the questions have an implied preface of "Assuming I want to accomplish this in a maintainable manner …". Does that sound right? I guess what this is now pointing out to me is that "for professional systems administrators" doesn't really mean what we want it to mean.

ServerFault Fundamentalism
I didn't mean to imply that some people were injudicious in their use of the mod hammer, but merely that some people who have higher privilege levels (like vote-to-close privilege, which includes myself) have an attitude that I find to be closed-minded. Even then, they don't seem to abuse their authority. It's the attitude I have a problem with, and the people with privileges are the elders of the community.

I honestly don't understand what your point is.

Are country-specific questions too localized?
IMO, "too localized" refers to issues that cannot ever reasonably be useful to a significant number of people. "Too localized" to the question-asker, not "too localized" to a specific geographic region.

How do high-reputation SF users solve their own problems?
This comment could be applied to almost all of the answerers here, but you stated it most explicitly: "During this process, the problem and its solution reveal themselves … making the question pointless to post." Well, it may be pointless for you, but it might help someone else. Post it anyway, and then answer it yourself.
