What is the etiquette on using comments to say "thank you"?
@kasperd Conceded. However, only voting is mention in the rest of the article. One could infer that "comment" is therefor a noun. I reserve the right to be wrong.

@kasperd it says
vote up their post or comment
, it does not say vote up or comment

@kasperd Could you be more specific?

=> Don't do it!
seems to make sense to me... maybe I'm in left field.

Abrupt change in moderation staff?
@EEAA I'm just a side note to all the action. I changed jobs in January and have much less time to participate. Compounding that, I strongly disagree with the direction the site has been taking, more so since the last election. I was pretty vocal about this toward the end of last year. Though I didn't always agree with the proposed solutions, I completely agreed with the people saying SF had a "walled garden" mindset problem. I don't have the energy fight it when the community overwhelmingly elected a mod running on that platform. I can't keep supporting a community I disagree with so much.

(not complaining, just curious) Why do we have to have a 1px border and few (none?) of the x.SE sites have that requirement?

@ShaneMadden I wouldn't expect such a JUMP around Sept and Dec. Doesn't seem like we have that many students here (which one might typically associate with jumps in low quality posts at the beginning and ends of semesters).

I can't imagine trying to really "catch up" with the story at this point. The slow and steady "decline" has been going on basically since the site started, and people have been talking about it for years. But it basically boils down to less people contributing (good) answers.
