editing other user's posts for completely trivial reasons
Being a professional and dressing professional are different. Similarly holding a professional job and writing in a professional style are different. You can argue all you want that your aversion to capital letters is a your style, we'll still find it as unprofessional (and make assumptions about your competence based on what little information we have, especially your style) as we did before. Similarly, we have edited peoples' posts in the past to reflect proper capitalization, will do the same with yours, and will continue to do so as we see fit. If this dissuades you from participating, so

Death to [newbie]!
Also, if we have to do a mass retag for whatever reason, best to do them on the weekend and in small groups, when the site is pretty slow anyway and to push less questions off.

Die, [multiple], die! *stabstabstab*
They need to add a field to the DB of blackholed tags. Part of the problem right now is that it's an RE search, so they don't let anyone add something as a misplaced

would take out the whole site.

Deleted post: why mine, and not many others on the same question?
Also, votes on m.SF don't have any affect, they do not affect your reputation, neither positive nor negative. On m.SF, as womble points out, it means "I agree" or "I disagree". On SF they mean "Good Question" or "Poorly worded/thought-out/factually-flawed Question" (or similar for answers). Also, you posted a cartoon as an Answer, a cartoon which didn't actually answer the question either. I'm sure others have said, read the faq, but this isn't a discussion board or forum, and is meant for professionals to help solve each others problems.

a "migrated" message and basically a surprise transfer to new site upon selection.
@mdpc, it's by design.

Really should be [apache-activemq], though [activemq] is acceptable.

Why can't I use https to access the stackexchange sites?
They did actually think about enabling SSL at one point in time (not too long ago actually) but decided not to for the reasons cited in Chopper's answer and Mark's comment thereto (referring to the expensive crypto accelerators necessary for a high traffic SSL site).

Tag synonym: compare->comparison
Is that the sound a synonym makes when it's born??

"Not an answer" -- really?
While that's probably very true, try telling meta.SO some time

Using version numbers rather than friendly names
I'm not familiar with that particular example, but if all the
xyz
tagged questions are about a product produced by abc
company, then by all means please do retag abc-xyz
. That's consistent with what we've been doing anyway.

Change style of Links
Those glossy displays have beautiful colors; it's the matte displays that mute all the tones and suck the life out of the screen.

Who would you like to hear at our Scalability Conference?
To redressing John's concern, it would be ultra spectacular if some (or even all) of the presentations could be put up on the scalability.SF site. I know there are a lot of people who wish they could go, but it just isn't feasible.

Does retagging count as editing?
You can't earn rep from meta.SF; but thank you for restating what others have already said.

Why was my question migrated to Super User?
QuickBooks has a strong stigma of being end users' software and not closely coupled to system administration (in fairness, QB is the best of the cheap crap accounting software). Five users thought SU was a better fit, that's all it takes.
