What can we do to fix the "Reasonable management practices" close reason?
Regarding the first part, most I've closed with it are the "this is just plain stupid" or "You clearly have no idea what you are dealing with" scenarios. Wrong site gets closed with the other migration options, you're doing it wrong usually involves answering with the correct way to do it instead.

BTW @ShaneMadden I think the only thing really lacking from the existing close choices is a clear enough "your question is completely stupid...I think so and so would most experts here", that's what I was hoping to convey without straight up offending the OP.

I personally think
"Questions without a clear problem statement are not useful to other readers and are unlikely to get good answers."
should simply be removed from the other one. Possibly combine it with this one in the Meta link explanation? -- By wrong site do you mean wrong SE site? If so, I think the existing Migration choices are enough.

Yes, the Meta post itself can be there but Protected. But even current close reason links to Meta answers exist without protection and it's very rare to see someone comment there after clicking it. Likely they don't even click it, but if they did they probably don't have enough rep in Meta to comment.

Reasonable business information technology management practices
I'd try and take a crack at this one, but as shown here I was confused by it myself. Even Shane Madden doesn't like it, but it was the best he could come up with to replace the "not professional". I agree with @HopelessN00b in that it's a fluffy bunny version of "wth are you thinking?"

All done...I have no metrics to quantify whether being nice has helped or not...other than a few random feedbacks from new users and old alike. Merry Christmas 2014!

Proposed change to Server Fault guidelines, round 2
I guess I glanced over the close reason verbiage...but I'm not a fan of
"Questions should demonstrate reasonable business information technology management practices. Questions that relate to unsupported hardware or software platforms or unmaintained environments may not be suitable for Server Fault"
-- I like the Help Center link itself...but the close reason is confusing IMO to people wanting to close it. I read it 3x before clicking the Help Center link and then coming here to read your OP and then going "Oh, got it." I know the verbiage is tough...and I don't have a great replacement.

Proposed change to Server Fault guidelines
I didn't read all the answers or comments...but why not do something like Server Fault is for questions about managing IT systems in a business environment. - it's simple and takes out extraneous wording. We know it's a site. We know there will be answers with the questions. We know IT is short for information technology. And adding "in a business environment" automatically excludes consumer/home and sets the appropriate scope IMO. Thoughts?

@HopelessN00b - the screen this morning had a statement at the beginning about "offline for maintenance...back up within an hour" or something like that...followed by the generic/canned Windows BSOD and a Linux error screen. I'm just bored enough to throw a 5 minute GIMP pic together of the Windows one after seeing the date/time stamps.

@HopelessN00b - We all know Steve, Kyle, Shane, and Greg host these sites on a Windows 2012 VM running on Parallels on Kyle's Macbook Air.

"or at least the name of a genius could be seen ?"
- any genius? Because I think it'd be cool if every downvote included a popup that said "TheCleaner thanks you for exercising your vote!" I think this feature-request should be approved. :)
