I think we're overdoing "get a new job" recommendations in comments
On the "Powershell Assistance for AD" I simply weeded through to try and get the heart of what the OP needed. I posted an alternative in my answer, as @MDMarra points out as an option. My final comment wasn't bashing, it was stating that before the OP goes and disables thousands of accounts at least explain to mgmt what is about to happen and why. I feel that's pretty fair and hopefully my answer isn't what is being discussed in this "thread".

Closed as duplicate in error?
While possibly not a duplicate, I think it should remain closed as "too localized" (a close reason that used to exist and still can be utilized as custom, only because your employees vs. others are different. What you tell your employees is based on your company culture, the mediums used to disseminate information, how intelligent or unintelligent your employee base is, etc. Explaining Heartbleed to a programming/devops company vs. explaining it to an office full of admin assistants is two totally different things.

Is it ok to ask questions on setting up a torrent server?
+1 - for @Ward. :)

Why must it always be this way?
Your question was treated the same way it would have been if one of us had asked it and probably better. You at least got comments from myself and others that explained why it was an off-topic question and what our "opinion" was at that point. If one of the regulars had posted that we would have flamed them like crazy and then ribbed them in Chat as well. It wasn't YOU that the downvotes and comments were directed at...it was the QUESTION.

How are our questions indexed/googlable so fast?
I'm pretty sure key phrases such as "voretaq7", "mdmarra", and "cloud/butt" drive a lot of traffic here.

Should someone post an answer when all they did was Google Fu?
IMO, if you do this as straight cut/paste, it is proper to give credit/citation to the site/author you got it from. If it is you researching the topic to validate what you were already thinking, maybe not.

SF needs its own "Shopping" link
@HopelessN00b - my thought process here is that the entire "Q&A is hard" page doesn't fit SF. But since there's not an overwhelming flood of answers here I'm guessing most either think it's a waste of time to alter or that the rightful cynic in them knows the changes will still not be heeded by the people that should be reading it regardless.

How can I ask better questions on Server Fault?

If you don't know what's relevant that's OK
you mention popping into chat after the question is asked. There has been multiple times I've done the opposite. I've gone to a site (granted I get the new member bonus) and then pop into their chat room if I'm fuzzy about my question there being on-topic. I've had times where the regulars/mods on those SE sites will say "reword your title as...and change your focus to..." and I'll do as they say and it ends up staying on-topic that way. It shows them up front to help watch for my question too from runaway VTCs just cause I'm new.
