In my view, the canonical answer should be like the software licensing one, explaining why we can't really help in most cases. I agree with @EsaJokinen about the "help with actual implementation" part.
@MarkAmery: Jeffs question in a nutshell is Can this work, with Not really, and here is why being the answer. The other question explicitly asks for a list of browsers and how they behave. I just don't get at all how you come to the conclusion that the former is broader than the other. The same is true for the third question you linked in your comment. Also, I don't see how the question about how different browsers handle this exactly is relevant to system administration - we don't need this amount of detail to understand the limits of what RRDNS can do.
Where do we draw the line? When are differences large enough to warrant different tags? In my book, if different products of the same category can't interoperate at all, we are far beyond that line.
The fact that an LTO6 drive can't even read a LTO2 tape is more then enough difference for me. Again, we could make the same argument for things like Windows Server.
