No, sorry, just because it was answered doesn't make it a good question, before or after the edit. Besides, the context suggests to me that the OP is not a professional admin. His bio confirms it. The question is therefore off-topic as well.

Automation scripts are programming, so why would there be any question of moving them here? I personally vote to move all such questions to SO.

There are still plenty of BIND 8 installation in use and I certainly recall seeing question about that version.

I don't know if it's your logic that's at fault. Perhaps you should have taken notice of that rather large banner across the top of the page when you first came here. You know the one, about reading the FAQ. Why not take a minute and do it now?

Sure makes sense to me and is confirmed by a quick look at the top few users. Evan in particular, SF's highest rep member, has certainly answered more than his share but never asked a question.
