You should have just downvoted it and moved on meta.serverfault.com/questions/5316/….

How long should it take to write an SF question?
Is this a modern version of How long is a piece of string ? Longer than many people are prepared to give it - I give you serverfault.com/questions/924814/robocopy-error-5-access-denied have you seen the gap data.stackexchange.com/serverfault/query/303570/… fewer people are putting any effort into answers than ever before.

New "Mainframes" Proposal — PASSED
I think you underestimate the importance of reading things. I think you overestimate the power of an SE site. Look at devops.se for example - there are likely orders of magnitude more 'devops' than that are mainframe users, they get ~3 questions per day. I wish your site well but won't be at all surprised if it turns out to be ::tumbleweed::

Server Fault needs professional-quality questions, not just questions from professionals
This worked well didn't it ;)

Should I delete or answer the question with "solved by restarting"?
Surely the goal here should be to have answers that solve the root cause so that people don't have to restart their production servers to 'fix' problems.

I would say delete it - it's not really a solution.

Migrate to Raspberry Pi option?
The trouble is that RPi.se don't want technical Unix questions, see point 5 in their off topic list [here][1] . They really should be migrated to unix.se. See also [this][2] and it's references. [1]: raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/help/on-topic [2]: raspberrypi.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/464/…

Reopen Question 25K+ Views, appears to be a valid question, lots of answers
It is closed because it is not a good example of an SF question.

What delineates a "Business Environment?"
@DuncanXSimpson Why do you think my comment was directed at you? It was quite specifically aimed at one person who is not you. Unless of course you think you fit into the class of 'help vampire'.

@SuperAdminI looked on your SO profile - your contributions there are less than stellar too. I'm sticking with my opinion of you.

I'm afraid that the sense of entitlement you display sickens me. You haven't helped this community at all. 3 votes, 0 edits, 0 flags 0 answers, 4 questions pfft! You are nothing more than a help vampire. For me you (ab)use of educational licences immediately puts you out of the business environment. 'SuperAdmin' - double pfft.
