Are we getting out-of-hand with all of the sub-communities?
@JefFerland: Voting on SF is erratic and sometimes perverse. If that question hadn't mentioned $EvilEmpireOfYourChoice it would have been closed as off topic with a much lower (if any) number of votes.

Secure alternative to ssh gets closed as too localised?
If it didn't mention Iran I'm sure it would have been closed as off topic just like many other policy subversion questions have been.

Would a "Vote these questions up" chat room make sense?
Almost non of the closed questions are disputed so you shouldn't feel uneasy about the vtc room. Bear in mind that only 210 people on SF have vtc privilege and only about 20 of them regularly use it. The vtc room is an important janitorial tool for bringing questions that are off topic and better served elsewhere or are poor quality etc to the janitors attention.

Does ServerFault plan on blocking ads placed by GoDaddy because of their support of SOPA?
I believe Aussies to be famously capable of detecting politician's double speak - after all you put yours underground (best place for them) :)

Oh dear and you an Aussie too - to quote @voretaq7 in chat earlier "Go Daddy will support it when and if the Internet community supports it.” I think this was the most telling remark. They still support it. They just won't say they do until everyone else does. Nothing quite like a wishy-washy company with no set ground to control your website.

If you read it carefully, the statement from godaddy, was obviously crafted by a politician (cheating lying bastard R US).

Making edits and approving edits on a question
In general I would agree that changing code blocks isn't a good thing however each edit has to be taken on it's own merits. So a blanket ban isn't a good thing either.

Change description for database-related tags
I have been checking with them (in their chat) about possible migration candidate to quote 'we're aiming for advanced SQL, DBA, BI, NoSQL: etc '.

Why was this question closed?
Why don't you ask the Diablo Java people ? At best you'll get informed opinion here. At worst you'll get wrong information. The Diablo Java people will know for sure.

Flagged a spammy answer, answer vanished but I did not get 'helpful'?
I'm sure spam flags have only recently started to accrue FW - perhaps it's been removed again.
