Should the rep requirement for creating tags on Server Fault be raised?
Even if I did that, @Reaces, it still wouldn't give an accurate picture. Although he did it in a profoundly odd way, Hopeless was performing some much-needed cleanup - a good number of the tags that existed two weeks ago probably shouldn't have. The problem is, right now we don't know which ones were needed and which ones weren't - once we've sorted through the 8K or so questions that currently have NO valid tags and given them valid tags (creating new ones as needed) then we'll have a better picture (unfortunately, one not connected to the data that previously existed).

Google Cloud Platform support on Server Fault
None of these are migrated, @Iain - just retagged. And they could use a bit of review from folks who have a better idea of what they're doing here. I'll let Community bump a pile of questions in a bit to restore some variety to the homepage, but if you could take a few minutes to look over what's there now I think it could be beneficial.

Yeah, not overly worried about dumping - as I said, they've been pretty good about treating Stack Overflow as a way of serving users who already want to ask there, and I expect to see the same from SF.

Proposed change to Server Fault guidelines, round 2
I encourage people to actually use the close reasons (including OT->Other) to demonstrate what is needed here, @AndrewB. Hard data on what sorts of questions are problematic on this site is a whole lot more useful than hyperbole on meta.

This help center topic is as much about y'all coming to an agreement and being on the same page as to what the site's about as it is for helping new users, @yoonix.

We can customize Formatting Help to a degree now (Geoff just rolled this out). Think about what you want there, keep it short & clear, post a feature-request.

2014 Community Moderator Election Results
Moderators don't dictate the tone of a site, @TLDR; at best, they can lead by example and rein in abuse. The level of "nice" / helpfulness / usefulness is determined by the folks participating here - where y'all go is up to you.
