As an example, why send a question on shell scripting to U&L if it's well-answered here and will keep a newly-minted junior admin from re-asking the question (and having it sent to U&L) in a month? | |

Surely that's a win-win. Have we not for example seen questions migrated from SO with an accepted answer that was just plain wrong? | |
