As this frequently happens to other Web (2.0) sites, I stopped questioning the rationales long ago. If Joel wanted a new look, there would be nothing to stop him anyway (well, except maybe a number of angry venture capital companies' managers calling his desk and asking him to think again), so all is left is hoping for the better. Also, I don't believe things like a design would get changed without major consultations - so it is probably much more than just "one dev". | |

Regardless, it still doesn't understand why something that had no need to be changed was changed for the worse when there are so many things that need to be changed. As far as I'm concerned it's just another case of a dev changing something to suit his own weird sense of style. | |

I assume this is partly a bad case of The journey is its own reward - Taoism. But since something is moving, I would expect things to move on and eventually get the broken features fixed. | |

The vote count compared to the rest looks like Laurel and Hardy. | |
