Rejected edit and the importance of being nice
I agree with RobM's comment, the original version doesn't seem unfriendly. I don't think your edit is terrible - if I'd seen it I think I'd probably have approved it - but I think the answer is fine …

Edits shouldn't require a minimum number of characters changed
There is nothing that anyone here on ServerFault can do about this*. The 6-character minimum is part of the software used across all SE sites and is unlikely to be changed.
