fwiw, as an entrepreneur I'm forced into the role of server and network manager at my business. At least until my income after taxes pays all my personal bills. :p BUT my 2¢ would be to push the questions to webmasters or web apps SEs.

My question is derived from my surprise that nothing has really changed other than as pointed out, some enterprise features are tricking their way into SMB & home networks. Analogy: Fast Ethernet is to networking what lap belts are to cars. Gigabit is advent of shoulder belts. Where are the airbags?

+1 for "contract with a marketing person/company". That just made a Saturday at work slightly better for this dev, entrepreneur who masquerades as a sysadmin by necessity.
