So one bad question, which got closed by you @MichaelHampton, which I go on to edit and make acceptable as best i can and I get banned ? My last question before that was almost a year ago (It did get closed, and I agree it belonged at unix stack where i reposted it, so it is irreparable) and the one before that was 3 years before that ! So you can see how it just seems i am being punished unfairly for foolishly but harmlessly posting the answer to my question in the question section as well ?!
It says both "You have reached your question limit & Sorry, we are no longer accepting questions from this account. " the links to a page saying it is a ban, nothing about rate limiting serverfault.com/help/question-bans if you look at my account yo can see it doesnt look that bad does it ? Just because i asked some unique questions i should not be punished, i have nothing in the negative. and many of my questions are old and have little chance of being up voted even if i do edit them because they have been superseded most likely by software updates & changes.
nailed it, ive just been blocked from asking questions, not because i asked bad questions but i wanted to share something i worked out, and i answered my own question in the question, rather than the 'answer my own question' option... what a joke, i get no feedback and just banned....
Well now its been closed i cant even ask any questions, this is a joke, its not like ive set to troll the website or mislead any one, i just wanted to help, i think ill go to unix stack where mods arent so snobby "You have reached your question limit"
Thanks, i did not know any of this. Please i just want to share what took me a good while to work out and i know others will find of interest going by other posts i came across online. I was trying to install 2 versions of php, and after trying one guide (not specific to virtualmin) i was close but i kept just getting a error 500 with the new php version and little error information. In the end i worked out what the problem was and got it working, and that is what i want to share. If other users dont help each other out how will they get better, just say 'this is bad' is not enough.
