Your title and some of the post make it sound like you're talking about migrating from a Samba NT domain to a Samba AD domain, but you also mention preserving NT compatibility in Win10 clients Well, we'll need to preserve the compatibility during the migration process. Hopefully this still be relevant long after the migration completes - most of it stands from the beginnig. Any source is fine IMHO if well explained and logical.
