Why was my question regarding premium domains closed?
On the main site, a downvote is for a bad question (for whatever reason). On meta, it just means we disagree with the premise of the question, not the question itself. A little convoluted, but you can search through the older questions to see what I mean.

Ok, you got that far. So, if you read the rest of the link, you'll see it says that GoDaddy doesn't own the names but is offering them on behalf of a 3rd party. Your attention to detail is lacking. And your question is still not applicable. Now you're getting into pricing, which is shopping, which is off-topic.

It is expressly stated by the registrar (at least in the case of GoDaddy) that the name doesn't belong to them, but to a 3rd party. Did you not read my answer?

I'll also add that downvotes on meta are a reflection of disagreement with the question, not that it shouldn't be asked. Meta's a different beast than the main site.

What's with the new location in my profile?
You know, I'm finding that I'm noticing things way later than a lot of other people. Kind of like the slow kid at the front of the bus who doesn't know what's going on.

When should Links be provided in Answers?
I can get behind that. I just wanted to mention it as a relevant data point

What is the scope of server-related software questions that are considered on-topic at ServerFault?
@Robert Harvey if it was asked here, it was probably closed as well. But just because it was asked doesn't make it a good question. We're of the opinion that bad questions should just die wherever they are, and not be kicked around. By the way, the link you gave is the same link in my answer. Don't know if you intended that.
