Given that the ServerFault blog (to my knowledge) is not currently being updated, and [status-planned] was added in 2011, I've removed [status-planned] from this question. If this would still be valuable, let me know, or flag a moderator to add [status-review].

I've pulled [status-deferred] from this ticket because it is being tracked on Meta Stack Exchange. It is also not, to my knowledge, something that we are presently planning to do, though it may still eventually be done.

If y'all still feel that this change is desirable, I'd encourage y'all to start a new discussion on the topic
