SE being reluctant to work with mods (and community) seems to be a bit of a thing particularly right now. You are not normally given to being that openly critical so I guess you're really not happy with them. SE needs somehow to remember just how important mods and community are to them .

To allow people to circumvent censorship of provided information or services e.g. the BBC provides several .onion sites see bbcweb3hytmzhn5d532owbu6oqadra5z3ar726vq5kgwwn6aucdccrad.oni‌​on or to allow customers to use your site services anonymously (for the privacy minded) e.g. the VPN provider mullvad.net (who are the underlying infrastructure for the Mozilla VPN also have a .onion site.

There are business uses for TOR but that question is a mess and should be closed as such.

This is an international site that used English. People can only fix what they see needs fixing. Not everyone will 'see' grammar/spelling etc that is incorrect. If several people each fix what they see needs fixing then ultimately the post is improved each time and overall.

I'm well aware of how the site is supposed to work, I'm still the second highest voter on hte site and I rarely contribute any more. The reason I rarely contribute is that wading through an amazonian sized river of crappy questions looking for something interesting (an voting appropriately along the way) is too wearing. Adding more crappy stuff from sites that failed to take off isn't going to help.
