If you hire someone to give you advice, you have to pay them, even if you don't like the advice. Except in this case, the bounty system holds it the cost in escrow, and you don't have to pay anyone if you don't want, but you still have to pay the money into the escrow account. Otherwise, I would set a 500-rep bounty on all my questions, get heaps of well thought out answers by users hoping to get paid, then take my bounty back and leave them in the cold. You can still do that, but at least you don't get your money back. (Money being rep, btw) | |
