Just an additional point: what you think of to have a worldwide acceptable answer of "no" simply doesn't. The question does not even address what license programme the licenses are going to be bought under - and Microsoft has plenty. Is it FPP? Is it Open License? Open Value? Enterprise Agreement? Is it SPLA? Is it a School Agreement? Is it something else? Is the licensing model per device or per user? Can you with absolute certainty tell that the answer would be "No" for any Microsoft licensing model in all world regions? You can't because you never even heard of most of them? Q.E.D.

This is a nice writeup but it should be mentioned that the glue record for ns4.serverfault.com really appears to be incorrect and should be changed. Which I suppose was one of the intentions of the question.

I think the wording has to be "the glue provided by the parent name servers has to match the data provided by the authoritative name servers" as the latter would not provide "glue".

Can't we just bin the review system and carry on as we did before it came? It is full of wrong incentives and favors herding behavior.

Really? Reviewers are now tested for sanity? So >90% are going to lose their review privileges soon?
